Hello guys; my name is Angie. Esme is one of my many musings but she is very special. I’m very open to crossovers and random tags, so please feel free to @ me whenever boredom strikes. I like to write action, obviously fantasy, and fluff. I’ve been on Twitter rp for quite some time now, but I spend a lot of my time on Instagram. I’ve made and lost contact with friends over the years, but I hope to write with everyone, even if we’ve just met! Esmeralda is the only known child of Elizabeth “Beth” Kane and an unknown member of the Religion of Crime. Esmeralda, or “Esme” to most of her family, was discovered by Kate when she was four and taken to Gotham City after the apparent death of her biological mother. There, Kate raises Esme as her daughter and trains her in self-defense. Esmeralda has been aware of Kate’s identity as Batwoman since she was six and would later adapt a costume for herself against her mother’s wishes to become Vampira. Despite all this, Esme’s childhood was mainly normal. When Esmeralda was sixteen, she snuck out to help her mother, and Bruce fight crime and was, of course, grounded afterward. After two years of extensive training from Kate and sometimes from Bruce, Katherine finally agreed to allow Esme to join her on nightly escapades. After Esme graduated high school, she left Gotham and attended NYU, where she met and fell in love with Jonathan “Jon” Murdock. The pair bonded over old movies, books, and more. After college, Esme moved back to Gotham, but the couple decided to remain long-distance and video chat weekly to watch a movie together. Esmeralda is now 25 years old. She still stays with Kate and goes out each night as Vampira. Over the years, she’s developed a unique relationship with each Batboy and given them all nicknames. Esme is timid around Bruce, only mildly around her mother, but far more assertive around other people. She is respectful but opinionated and learned her “detective skills” from reading Sherlock Holmes books.
